Community Clinic

Concerned about the cold and (swine) flu season? Are you looking for a more natural approach to your health complaints? Or are you interested in learning how to prepare medicinal herbs for you and your family?

Introducing the 'Healing with Herbs' Community Clinic! Starting Wednesday, October 21, the clinic will run every Wednesday from 11-5pm at Green Mountain Healing Arts, 818 East Main Street, Bennington, Vermont.

The intention of the clinic is to introduce herbalism as a viable and effective vehicle toward self-healing as well as to re-introduce the folkloric traditions of medicinal herbalism into our communities.

The clinic is open to individuals, families and companion animals (mammalian).

Clinic Specifics;

How it works:

The clinic is broken up into 30 minute time slots. The actual session will run approximately 20 minutes. There will be a sign-up sheet with available time slots. When pre-scheduling, your time slot will be blocked out. Walk-ins are welcome to sign-up for whatever time slots are available.

New clients are required to fill out a brief intake form including a waiver/informed consent/disclaimer. All prior to the session start sign. Forms will be available at the clinic (please arrive 15 minutes early) or can be e-mailed to you.

Each session is client-centered; that is, dependent on what your needs are.

-Generally, for clinical purposes, a brief discussion on your primary complaint and secondary complaint will be discussed followed by a brief tongue and pulse analysis, pattern based assessment and herbal recommendations.

- Herbal formulas can be made up at the time per your request.

For educational or consultation purposes, your session would include information/resources on herbs (where to get, how to make) and brief demonstration.
